Preparing Students for a Workforce That Won't Stand Still

‍ One of the things I’ve been paying close attention to while building Aequo Pathway Foundation is how AI is reshaping conversations around early-career pathways and the future of work.

‍ I recently came across an interesting article from National Association of Colleges and Employers discussing the impact of AI on the early-career labor market.

‍ One point that really stood out to me was the idea that AI may not eliminate entry-level opportunities altogether—but it is changing the skills students will need to succeed.

Critical thinking. Adaptability. Communication. Problem-solving. The ability to evaluate and refine information.

Those human-centered skills are becoming even more important in a world where AI tools are increasingly part of everyday work.

‍That’s part of why career exposure and awareness matter so much. Students deserve opportunities to explore not just careers themselves, but also how industries and workplace expectations continue to evolve. ‍

The future of work is changing quickly. Helping students navigate it thoughtfully matters.
